Owl Garland!

I have been very busy the last few days crocheting owls and a couple of Little Star Washcloths. I found the free pattern for the washcloths at Thanks Bella for sharing the pattern..  :) Two of the owls were a request from my friend Pat at Hook & Books. I feel thrilled to think she wants some of my crochet when she is such a great crocheter herself. She has certainly given my poor self esteem a real boost.. thanks Pat..  :)

These are the little star washcloths I have been practicing my crochet on. So cute!

Is a group of owls an owlery??
A pretty pair..
A pair for Pat!

Now they Look finished!!

Finally finished

Family of Owls!

I bought this Crocodile stitch owl pattern from a lady on Ravelry named Carola Herbste. You can find the link to the pattern hereI made a few changes with regard to a larger size for dad and without a pattern for the small one, I just made that up. I also made the eyes a bit different.
Very cute.... And a joy to crochet...

Mum nearly finished and dad just started

I used Dazzle 8 ply Heirloom yarn. Very soft and easy to use.

All they need are their little beaks.

I haven't quite finished them as they all need to have beaks made but just had to show them off Lol.. :)

His & Hers Crochet Slippers!

With winter in mind, although I really hope it is a long way off just yet, I crocheted  slippers for John to wear around the house.

 Really cosy and warm...

They match mine quite nicely  and there won't be any cold toes in our house this year I hope...

We held a bbq here last Sunday for our local orchid society and on the raffle table was a lovely little wall hanging  which I had no hesitation in taking when my ticket number was called.

I am using it as a table runner simply because it looks so nice and fresh and brightens up the kitchen. I can always hang it on the wall at a later date...  :)

So pretty..
